Visiting Hours
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times while visiting our sites.
Free parking is available at the lighthouse for those purchasing tickets. Parking limit is 2 hours maximum. When you are finished with your tour you must move you vehicle to the public lot across the street to make room for our incoming guests.
Tickets include admission to the complete Light Station and the Tybee Museum in Battery Garland

The lighthouse and catwalk are subject to closure when adverse weather conditions occur.

Hours subject to change, specifically on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.
No BACKPACKS of any size allowed on the grounds. Shoes and shirts must be worn at all times. Bathing suits must be covered.
The lighthouse may close without warning due to adverse weather conditions.
Drone Policy
Drones are not allowed to fly over the Tybee Island Light Station and Museum on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, & Sundays during the hours of 9AM to 5:30PM.

Drones are allowed to be flown over the site outside of operating hours. That means drones are not alowed to fly over the light station and museum every day except for Tuesdays, from 9AM-5:30PM.

178. There is a platform every 25 steps with a resting area and a viewing window.
Is There An Elevator?
No
Will I Have to Wait in Line?
Possibly. For safety purposes we must limit the amount of people allowed in the lighthouse at one time. This means that during peak times there can be a line to get into the lighthouse.
What's Your Drone Policy?
Drones are allowed to be flown over the site outside of operating hours. That means Wednesday-Monday from 9AM-5:30PM drones are not allowed over the light station and museum.
Are Pets Allowed?
No. Only ADA animals are allowed.
