Parking Lot Attendant

Position: Seasonal Parking Lot Attendant (Hourly, Part-time, Seasonal)

Reports to: Gift Shop Manager

Schedule: Shifts vary. Required to work weekends and 4th of July. Schedules are issued monthly.

Compensation: $15/hour

​

Overview: Join our team as a Seasonal Parking Lot Attendant at Tybee Lighthouse, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience for our guests. This position requires physical stamina and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service in outdoor conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests warmly and assist them by guiding them to available parking spaces and aiding with vehicle exits when necessary.

• Provide friendly and informative customer service, offering assistance with inquiries about the facility, providing directions, and distributing area maps.

• Monitor security vigilantly to uphold safety standards, promptly reporting any suspicious activity to the appropriate authorities.

• Maintain cleanliness throughout the parking facility by regularly sweeping and tidying up, ensuring a pleasant environment for visitors.

• Promptly report any maintenance issues to the maintenance staff, contributing to the upkeep of the facility.

• Enforce all rules and regulations set forth by the Historical Society to ensure a smooth visit for all guests.

• Be flexible to work at various locations on-site, including the base of the lighthouse, head keeper's cottage, museum, gift shop, and ticket booth as needed.

• Perform any additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
