The
Sixth Day Mark
In
1970 the daymark became 'visible' again. It lasted twenty nine years,
at the end of which time the walls of the lighthouse needed renovation
and the paint was becoming weather worn. The opportunity was taken to
revert the lighthouse to the day mark that it had longest, the fourth
day mark.

Did
you know?
That
the light in Tybee Lighthouse does not rotate. It was designed that
way, from the start.
